Circumstances
** Runaway Juvenile / Public Assistance Needed**

On December 26th, 2025, Whitley County Sheriff's Department Deputy Caleb Hester, Unit 312 responded to Sweet Briar Lane in Corbin Kentucky in reference to three runaway children who had fled from a foster parent's residence. All three children were entered as missing persons in NCIC. Since the initial investigation, two of the three runaway children have been located and returned to their legal guardians.
At this time, sixteen year old Lesley Maynard has still not been located. Lesley has no known active cell phones, and has no recent activity on social media. Reportedly, Lesley has no ties to the Whitley County KY area, but has family in Floyd County KY. She also has ties to Prestonsburg KY.
Information has been received that Lesley may have fled to the state of West Virginia (unknown city or county). Anyone with information is urged to contact the Whitley County Sheriff's Department at 606-549-6017 or 606-549-6006, or private message us on our department's Facebook messenger page, ref. case number 25-118-0211.
The Floyd County Sheriff's Department are assisting with the investigation. We are also asking citizens in the Floyd County Kentucky area to share and notify the Floyd County Sheriff's Department with any information regarding the whereabout of Lesley.
